S’mores & Shores is located in Waves, North Carolina on Hatteras Island in the Outer Banks. Travel to the island is straightforward, but please allow additional time during peak summer travel days.

Driving Directions

Most guests will arrive using NC Highway 12, which runs the length of the Outer Banks.

1. Travel to Nags Head, North Carolina.

2. From Nags Head, continue south on NC Highway 12 toward Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

3. Drive across the Marc Basnight Bridge and continue south on Highway 12.

4. Continue through the villages of Rodanthe and Salvo.

5. Enter the village of Waves.

6. Follow your GPS to 25221 Sea Vista, Waves, NC 27982.

Once you arrive in the neighborhood, please drive slowly and be mindful of pedestrians, cyclists, and other guests.

Important Travel Notes

• NC Highway 12 is the only road on and off Hatteras Island.
• Traffic may be heavier on summer Saturdays due to weekly rental turnover.
• Weather, tides, or storms can occasionally cause delays or temporary road closures along Highway 12.
• Cell service may become limited in certain areas of the island.
• GPS services such as Google Maps or Apple Maps generally provide accurate directions to the home.

Parking

Parking is available in the driveway at S’mores & Shores.

Please park only in designated driveway areas and do not block neighboring driveways or roadways.

Guests are responsible for any vehicles brought onto the property and must follow all local parking regulations.
